I love this story so much I doubt its veracity. A woman is threatened by iron bar-wielding 12-year-old girls and is saved by a man who chases them away on a bicycle while yelling, “Oiks!” The woman? Franny Armstrong, the woman behind the 10:10 campaign. The man? Boris fucking Johnson. I know. I know.
On Ms. Armstrong’s twitter feed: “did I ask Boris to join #1010 after he rescued me?? Yes I did and yes he agreed…” These people!

I finally got to see In The Loop over the break and it was AMAZING. Because that’s how Malcom Tucker do.
A couple things:
first, finding out that “The Sun Whose Rays Are All Ablaze” is actually Gilbert and Sullivan kind of deflated my balloon. But ultimately, not really as detracting as I thought it might be. She’s still terrifying and compelling.
second, how great is this dialogue??
OHmygod I am so out of breath from laughing. This is really old news and most people have probably seen this but it’s AMAZING and totally worth re-watching.
